Employment Development

The primary function of the Job Development Staff is to provide valuable community employment related information. The scope is not limited to job seekers. Employers may find may valuable resources through the department staff.

A major focus is the development and implementation of Work Experience Program (WEP) sites for the Muskingum County Dept. of Job and Family Services.

Above and beyond this responsibility it is important to note our workforce developers can help employers in receiving various tax incentives and credits such as:

• Work Opportunity Tax Credit (W.O.T.C.)
• Ohio Training Tax Credit Program (O.T.T.C.)
• Ohio Investment in Training Program (O.I.T.P.)
• Various tax incentive programs for the employment of the disabled personnel
• Regional Opportunities for Economic Development
