The mission of the Benefit Administration Division is to determine eligibility and issue cash, food and medical assistance to families transitioning to self sufficiency as well as services to individuals and families who have an elderly or disabled member in need of food, medical or skilled nursing care.

Muskingum County Job and Family Services now has a Call Center for your convenience.  The Call Center connects you with a live Customer Service Agent to immediately assist you with any questions you may have regarding our programs or to make an inquiry regarding a case action.  The Call Center hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  To place a call to the Call Center dial 740.454.0161, select Option 2 and at the prompt select Option 3.    

Out of town callers may dial 1.800.242.0029, select Option 2 and at the prompt select Option 3.  You will be transferred to a live Customer Service Agent.

If you wish to apply for benefits you may complete an ONLINE APPLICATION.  This application is good for Medicaid, Ohio Works First, and the Food Assistance Program.  Once you have completed filling out the application; follow the instructions to submit the application and it will be sent electronically to our office for processing.
