Long Term Care / Waiver Unit

The Long Term Care / Waiver Unit is comprised of 3 main areas:

• The Disability Financial Assistance Program — provides cash assistance to individuals who are considered to be disabled due to a physical or mental impairment rendering them unable to work.
• Disability Determination Unit — The DDA (Disability Determination Area of the State of Ohio) determines whether or not an applicant is eligible for Medicaid benefits.
• Medicaid Nursing Home / Waiver Program — The Medicaid Nursing Home / Waiver Program provides assistance to the residents of Muskingum County through the Medicaid Program for placement in a skilled nursing facility or individuals who need ongoing skilled care who wish to remain in their homes.
