Legal Department

The Legal Department provides legal support services to the agency and represents the interests of the State of Ohio.  The agency does not represent the payor or payee. The agency has two staff attorneys who attend court hearings on the agency’s behalf. The Legal Department seeks to increase the self-sufficiency of families by providing legal support services to the agency case managers. The legal department accepts and processes referrals for legal action to aid in the establishment of paternity and the establishment and enforcement of child support, cash medical support, and health care insurance.
